Optimal parts arrangement
Parts and boxes package arrangement is executed according to complex heuristic algorithms that allow to choose the most optimal variant of packing. As a result, the program creates tight packages that correspond to weight and dimension restrictions and eliminate parts damage during transportation.
Optimal panels arrangement in a pack
During panels packing, the boxes are created first and then the boxes and panels will be placed into packs. The boxes are designed for accessories keeping. Depending on accessory amount, there can be several box types. A list of standard box types used at the enterprise is created for faster work. However, if necessary, it is possible to create a box of particular dimensions. The user specifies boxes assignment and number. E.g., connectors, screws, and nails are placed into one box, drawer sliders – into another narrow long box. It is possible to place some linear parts in the boxes, e.g., a rubber gasket for a mirror. Some linear parts are not placed into boxes. E.g., aluminum shape for sliding wardrobe door.

The packs will be created after accessories packing completion. All the elements are placed automatically as tight as possible. The largest part (or two parts) is placed to the bottom. It provides pack stiffness and stability. Package weight and dimensions are also calculated, along with panels and boxes placing. If these values exceed allowed values, a warning will appear.

If necessary, it is possible to move the panels from one pack into another automatically «repacking» both packs. It may occur in case of pack maximum weight keeping or for parts of one assembly packing in one pack. E.g., all drawers are placed in one pack, product case – in another, interior fittings — in a third one.

The process of package creation ends in optimal variant generation by the program. However, it is always possible to view «rejected» variants and analyze them.

Any furniture package consists of many diverse elements: panels of wood particle board and fiberboard, glass elements, accessories, profiles. They should be packed properly in order to exclude parts damages during transportation. BAZIS-Package module allows to solve this problem in the best way.

The problem of product packing should be solved in designing stage. Cartons are an optimal variant for products packing. Most of the panels are flat, thus it is possible to arrange the panels very tight. The rectangular shape of cartons provides handling operations convenience and rational use of internal space in containers and wagons. Cartons material ensures panels safety. BAZIS-Package module uses the notion of a pack so that to differ small boxes for accessories and big boxes for panels and other elements. A pack is a package that is delivered to the customer.

Panels arrangement maps development is very important, like original design creation or product function capabilities realization. The designer should define panel's mutual arrangement in each package, provide necessary inset parts and stand weight restrictions. There are following capabilities in BAZIS-Package module for such tasks solution:
  • product data automatic loading from the models created in BAZIS-Woodworker and BAZIS-Cabinet modules;
  • separate boxes creation for accessories and flexible elements;
  • automatic identification of empty places in a package for filling with sealants;
  • automatic creation of package types for each pack depending on volume use factor;
  • creation of packing material unfolding parametric templates with outer contour, bend line and cut specification;

The problem of modern furniture production is high originality of each order. It makes it difficult to create perfect packages and packing areas work. BAZIS-Package module allows arranging the panels tight and fast in the boxes as well as to generate the documents for each package. The module assures accurate work of packing area and eliminates the errors of ready orders loading and shipment.

All the documents are generated automatically. They are graphical images of BAZIS system format that are saved in *.LDW extension files.

The main document of the module is a map of panels arrangement in a package. It is a sketch that contains axonometric projection of mutual position of panels, boxes, and sealants in the package. Moreover, specification of panels and boxes list will be created, and each box will have its own specification with all necessary information. The map can be edited via standard commands of 2D construction.

A label with bar-code is created for each package. When the packages are delivered to ready product stock for further storing, the labels will provide fast search for order generation. BAZIS-Label module of BAZIS system allows creating label templates according to particular enterprise demands.
